The venerable Cessna 172 XP Skyhawk is a great training aircraft which provides a very stable and forgiving platform to learn how to fly in. N758JR has had an extensive avionics upgrade and is considered a technically advanced aircraft per the FAA. This makes it a great option for our private, instrument and commercial courses. Equipped with a WAAS certified touch screen Garmin 750 and Garmin 650, a dual axis S-Tec auto pilot fully integrated with the Aspen Evolution E5 PFD/HSI ( Primary Flight Display / Horizontal Situation Indicator ), a Garmin ADSB compliant transponder and an EDM JPI 700 engine monitoring system to enhance and manage all your flight, navigation, and system data. This combination of aircraft stability and advanced avionics will help enhance your situational awareness as well as your aeronautical decision making. Powered by a fuel injected Continental IO-360 this Skyhawk produces 195HP and provides excellent performance and cruising speeds.

1977 Cessna 172XP

N1521V is our Isham powered high performance 172XP Skyhawk. This IFR certified 172XP is an extremely safe and forgiving platform to learn how to fly in. Powered by a fuel injected Continental IO-360 producing 210 horsepower, this Skyhawk does not shy away from any performance category.  135K cruise and a service ceiling of 17,000 ft make this an excellent aircraft to learn how to fly in and utilize around the Southwestern US. This Skyhawk has been outfitted with the Isham conversion on the Continental IO-360, is categorized as a high performance airplane per the FAA, and is equipped with a STOL kit which combined with the engine conversion drastically increase aircraft performance during every phase of flight from takeoff to landing. Flight training in this high performance 172 is very advantageous for applicants with professional aspirations looking to build time for career opportunities or additional ratings.
