Flight Training

Are you eager and motivated to become a Private Pilot? Are you seeking accelerated flight training for your Instrument Rating, Commercial Pilot Certificate, or Flight Instructor Certificates (CFI/CFII/MEI)?

We offer accelerated flight training programs!

At Wright Flight Aviation, you could become certified as a Private Pilot in as little as 14 days! Owner and lead instructor, Rob Hayes, is an Airline Transport Certified Pilot who has spent years mastering the craft of aviation and instruction to be able to perfect this style of teaching.

As a student in our accelerated program, you will be flying and training for a minimum of 8 hours per day in an aircraft dedicated to your training (thus minimizing the delays found at other flight schools where much of your time is spent waiting for an aircraft).

At Wright Flight Aviation, we know what it takes to achieve your goals in a timely and cost-effective manner. Don’t be fooled by the competition.

As owner and lead instructor of Wright Flight Aviation, I personally guarantee that you will become a safer, more proficient, and confident pilot with our accelerated flight training programs. A shorter timeframe for training reduces the need to re-learn material, and we have found that our students thrive best the more they are in the air putting their learned skills to use and gaining a feel for the aircraft.

Our accelerated flight training program combines realistic scenario-based training with technologically advanced aircraft and a relaxed training environment to provide all the tools necessary for success in today’s aviation market. Students are prepared in a way that works best for your unique learning style, and our lead instructor will work with you to ensure you are safe and confident in the air in a variety of scenarios.

Wright Flight Aviation also offers accelerated programs for Instrument Rating, Commercial Pilot Certificate, and Flight Instructor certificates. (CFI/CFII/MEI).

Private Pilot Program

Have you ever dreamed of taking flight? Can you imagine the freedom of flying your own plane? Do you want to become a professional aviator in a straightforward and cost-effective manner? Wright Flight Aviation can help you achieve all of your aviation goals and will work with you to chart the best course of action.

The first step in this amazing journey is to obtain your Private Pilot License (PPL). This certificate permits you to act as pilot in command of most single engine aircraft under fair weather. A PPL is a great place to start if you are serious about learning how to fly. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requires a minimum of 40 hours of flight time for this certificate, which also includes 10 hours of solo flight time. You will need to obtain a third class FAA medical certificate and pass an FAA private pilot airplane knowledge and practical exam.

Wright Flight Aviation utilizes the Jeppesen pilot training programs, which are designed to help enhance your learning experience. We have found that combining the Jeppesen Private Pilot Online Training course with our custom flight training syllabus is the most cost-effective and streamlined approach to obtaining your PPL.

*40 hour of flight time is the FAA minimum time. The average time to completion is closer to 65 hours.
*Additional information for FAA requirements can be obtained from the FAA website (www.faa.gov)

Instrument Pilot Program

After obtaining your Private Pilot License, an Instrument Rating is the next step to sharpening your aviation skills. This program develops and enhances the tools necessary to become a safer and more proficient pilot. Wright Flight Aviation utilizes the Jeppesen Online Instrument Course, which contains ground school and maneuver lessons using a combination of video, graphics, and audio to help break down each topic as we progress forward in the course syllabus.

As an instrument pilot, you will possess the qualifications and training necessary for flight into poor weather conditions, clouds, and low visibility and will no longer have to cancel flights and postpone trips due to weather constraints. This rating requires a minimum of 40 hours of instrument experience (simulated or actual), a passing score on the Instrument FAA knowledge exam, and a passing score on the FAA practical exam.

Most of our students find the Instrument Rating allows for some of the most challenging and satisfying flying of their careers.

Commercial Pilot Program

Once you have obtained your Private Pilot License and Instrument Rating and want to put your flight experience to work, the Wright Flight Aviation Commercial Pilot Program is your next step in that direction. A Commercial Pilot License permits the holder to fly, in limited scenarios, passengers and/or cargo for hire. At Wright Flight Aviation, our Scenario Based Training coupled with our advanced aircraft fleet will sharpen and build the skills necessary for you to become a commercial operator. We utilize the Jeppesen Commercial Pilot Online Course, which contains ground school and maneuver lessons using a combination of video, graphics, and audio to help break down each topic as we progress forward through the course syllabus.

The FAA requires a second class medical to use commercial flight privileges as well as a minimum of 250 hours of flight time. Flight time requirements include 100 hours of Pilot in Command (PIC) time, 50 hours of cross country time, 10 hours in a complex aircraft, and 10 hours of instrument training. Further information on FAA requirements may be found on their website (www.faa.gov). Listed below is a cost breakdown if you already meet all the FAA flight time requirements for a Commercial Pilot License.
